Tropical Smoothie Treat!

Thanks to Almond Breeze for partnering with me. As always, all opinions are my own. And thank YOU for supporting the brands that support my family!

ONE month of summer left!! Can you believe it?! The weather has kept us feeling very toasty, and breakfast smoothies is such a favorite around here! Earlier this year, I had the most amazing smoothie when we visited the Bahamas. It was a layered tropical drink that was delish! The bottom smoothie mixture doesn’t have a sweetener, but once you swirl in that sweet mango yumminess, the balance of sweetness is absolute perfection. It’s a better-for-you way to start the day, or a quick & easy snack before jetting off to exercise!

Why Didn’t I Start Sooner?!

Good morning! So I’m feeling super productive first thing this morning, while having all 4 kids with me… We just got home from picking up TONS of groceries, and breakfast donuts (I’ll admit that was a bribe to go to bed last night) all in one trip and while still in our pajamas. If your life is anything like mine, grocery shopping with a bunch of kiddos pulling anything and everything off the shelves is no easy feat. Not to mention, finding time to even go grocery shopping seems impossible some weeks! (Ok, most weeks these days…. between my business, Aaron’s orthodontic practice, keeping the kiddos happy and loved, investing in friendships, etc, etc, etc)

Back To School with Pottery Barn Kids

Who’s ready for school?! Ready or not, we have 3 Crossley kids heading to the same school in just a few short weeks! I am thrilled they will all be together! And little miss Avery will still stay home with her mama. We haven’t talked about school much since we are neck-deep in the summer. Quite literally, we’re drenched in sunscreen and swimming in the pool every day.

This has probably been the most exciting, stressful, fun, crazy few weeks we’ve had in a very long time. A few months before opening Aaron’s orthodontic office in Frisco, we had completely unexpected news come our way.

Perfect Cloud Review & Giveaway!

We’ve had such a fun day with family in town! Aaron’s older brother and his cute family of 6 get to stay with us for 2 weeks! We are so excited for a fun family reunion! We don’t have any guest bedrooms in our home, which means we get to play magical chairs with all the little people in the various rooms. The 2 adults will stay in the girl’s bedroom. Since their room has become a “guest room” of sorts, we decided to order 2 mattresses that both our kids and adults would enjoy. My kids have never been picky with mattresses. For heavens sake, I’ll occasionally find them sleeping upside down or on the floor, haha. But most of us slightly-pickier-adults have had the experience of staying somewhere with a mattress that’s no good….can make for a rough stay!

Surprise Twin Trip to CocoCay Island with Royal Caribbean

I’m sitting here on a flight leaving Miami heading back to our home in Dallas. There is a darling little blonde boy snoozing away on my lap while my other little girl is beep-bopping away to The Greatest Showman on the other side of me. This past week Aaron and I hit the breaks on our schedule and zipped away for a vacation to go island hopping with the twins. We made it a complete surprise for them. As in, the 4 of us pulled up to the airport and the twins still had no idea we were surprising them with their very own solo trip with mama & daddy. And if you follow along in my Instagram stories, you saw their freak-out moment when we told them we were boarding a plane together to jet off to Florida! Tiny bodies jumping up and down while squealing with excitement. That moment was parenting payday, for sure.

Celebrating Our Double Birthday Weekend

We had an absolute BLAST celebrating our birthdays this weekend! I turned 31 last Wednesday and Aaron turns 33 a week later! We’ve never been into getting each other grand, expensive gifts. Instead, what we really look forward to is experiencing a yummy dinner together or a weekend staycation. We booked a 2 night stay at the Hotel Crescent Court in Dallas on the weekend in between our birthdays. My sister and I recently started the best monthly trade-off with our kiddos. She’ll take our kids for a few days and then we’ll trade off the next month and I’ll take her kids for a few days to give them some time alone. It’s definitely a crazy, cousin-filled weekend when all 7 of the cousins are together… but it is giving them the BEST memories, while also give the parents a weekend to relax and focus on one another. I wish we would have started this sooner, haha!

Summer Hair Care Tips

The temps have hit the 80’s and summertime is right around the corner! For our family, summer is all about being carefree and having as much pool & play time as we can handle. We literally live in the pool before school picks back up in the fall. If you saw my Instagram stories from yesterday, you might’ve caught the tail-end of my 7 year old swimming in our pool while my 2 year old was splashing in the shallow end. They’re all fishies and have seemed to jump in the moment the ice melted! The good news is their lips weren’t blue.

Along with this warm weather comes a whole host of problems that can wreck havoc on my locks. There’s a dramatic difference in my winter hair care routine from my summer hair routine. In between battling swimming pool chemicals and intense humidity, it’s so important to keep my hair healthy by changing a few simple habits. Next time you’re running errands, pick up these great summer hair hacks. Keep reading to find out a few tricks to beat the heat this summer!

Tidying Up the Easy Way!

It’s the time of year when we spring clean! We sift through each closet and hiding spot. Decluttering and de-junking and deep-cleaning. I used to have a higher tolerance for disorder: piled up dirty laundry, dishes filling the sink, stuff literally everywhere.

My Daily Schedule!

The number one thing I’ve struggled with as a mom to little ones, a wife, and an entrepreneur is prioritizing time. We often have a million things on our to-do list around the house, a kajillion activities we’d like to do with the kids, designing & building plans surrounding my husband’s office, and I’ve got a fun social media gig that lights my fire. All of these opportunities pull on my heartstrings nearly each hour of the day. Have you ever felt like that? As if you’re juggling things and trying to figure out how to stay focused on each project when there are text messages and to-do’s screaming at you from every direction? It’s exhausting, and I hear you. So, this year we sat down and tackled each of our stumbling blocks head on and I’d love to share the goals we’re working through.
