I’ve never seen so many slides and jet ski wipe-outs in my life! 😂 If you saw my Instagram stories, you know what I’m talking about haha. I love these darling babes and I’m grateful we’re free to be as silly as all get out. Happy 4th of July, y’all! 🇺🇸
Our swimsuits sold out 2 years ago, I linked a few new suits below!
Reminding me what butterflies feel like since our 1st blind date 11+ years ago ❤️
With 4 lil’ kiddos, 2 businesses, and a gazillion commitments, I always try to snag a babysitter every week for us to go out for a date night! BUT then the covid pandemic hit. With his office shut down for 5 weeks and us being home together, all while trying to teach the older 3 their new homeschool routine, we felt overwhelmed. Aaron and I were living an entirely new life together and to be completely honest, it was awful for the 1st few weeks.
To the love of my life & man of our hearts 💕 Aaron’s our safe place, our protector, and king of stealing all the belly giggles. Happy Father’s Day to you and to my sweet dad.
Here are a few of my favorite snaps of you and 1 of my dad and I. xo
We’ve been making this banana bread for over 10 years! Before we had kids, I would bake and sell this at a local pharmacy every week. Aaron and I were saving our pennies to afford a nice down payment on a home before he was accepted in to dental school. This is our FAVORITE banana bread since you can’t even taste the banana in it (wink wink).
Last year, I shared My 5 Best Tips for Post Partum Hair Routine. I talked about how often I wash my hair and how I keep it as vibrant and healthy as possible. I also chat through haircuts and how to style a thinning hair line. I’ve never had hair extensions but my hair has definitely become more thin over recent years and I’ve learned a few tricks along the way!
Out with the crib and in with the Big Girl Bed!! Our brand new 3 year old slept her last night in the crib and she loves her new bed. I felt hesitant to switch her not knowing if she’d miss her crib. So when I asked her which bed she wanted to sleep on, she pointed to her new twin trundle bed! We had the sweetest night snuggling together on her bed. That’s always my favorite thing after they’re out of the crib.. Snuggling together at night! Her bed and organic mattress is SO comfortable! (I’ll share another blog post soon after we swap out her changing table for a dresser, etc..)
This is our favorite brunch to make for holidays! This photo from above was 10 years ago for our Christmas breakfast! Aaron took me on our 2nd date ever to Kneader’s Bakery in Utah. They had unlimited french toast that was to-die-for. Melt in your mouth buttermilk french toast & syrup. We loved it so much, but couldn’t afford to eat out at the restaurant as much as we wanted considering we were 2 broke college kids. We tried recipe after recipe to find the perfect match. I wrote the final recipes down on a paper and it’s been heavily stained with butter and grease! We made this for our family’s Easter brunch this year and had too many requests to share it here on my site. Hope you love it as much as we do!
We had this on Sunday for our family dinner and SO many of y’all sent DM’s asking for the recipe. This is SO easy to make and the clean-up is even easier! It is low-fat, high in fiber, and VERY yummy! I love adding sour cream, cheese, avocados, and tortilla chips. You can also add tomatoes, chopped onion, cilantro, salsa, guacamole, olives, or anything else you’d like!
T H R E E. Avery Rose turned 3 today and I share a few favorite pictures and videos of her life HERE on this Instagram post. Spoiler alert, there are lots of double chins featured there, haha.
Two weeks earlier, we celebrated our baby girl’s 3rd birthday. We had NO idea the world would be on lock-down on her actual birthday. Luckily, our March schedule pushed us to host a party for her friends and family before the craziness started. Our little caboose had so much fun turning 3!
⚓️ Ahoy! 1st family cruise ever and it was magical!!! The moment after we boarded the beautiful Disney cruise, a giant lollipop nearly went overboard and I’m proud to say that’s the worst of the damage! haha We’ve taken a cruise with the twins before and another cruise with just our oldest. This was my 10th cruise but a 1st with Disney & our complete family!!!❤️ The kids were either hitting the slides on repeat or in the kid’s club. I’m pretty sure they loved the kid’s club more than being with us. Actually, yes. I’m 💯 sure about it. Ethan was waiting for his turn to play Mario cart and legit cried when Aaron picked him up for dinner. It’s fine.🤣 We brought them on the Disney “Dream” boat to create memories and that’s exactly what happened! Tap ON THIS INSTAGRAM POST to see a few of our videos from the beach.
We hopped on a night flight and nearly missed it because this 2 year old refused to let security check her mini backpack. I have to give her credit for the most epic airport situation we’ve had. We all fell asleep at midnight, slept in til 7am to make it over to the new Riviera Resort (absolutely stunning and super family friendly!) and Magic Kingdom! Y’all, we watched each kid have their magical moment. Throughout the evening, Aaron and I had a sweet time chatting about their magical highlight reels. It was precious & tender & 100% lived up to the hype! I even had my ‘moment‘ that made me teary-eyed when a war veteran paid for our family’s lunch. It doesn’t seem to matter how old we are, we’re all creating magical experiences for one another as we reach out to sprinkle kindness. See our airport pic HERE. 99% of these photos were shot from my old iphone since we didn’t want to lug around a heavy camera around the park with our 4 kiddos.
Disney Creator’s Celebration!
Last year, I opened up the COOLEST surprise email!
Phew! Valentine’s Day came and went as fast as ever! We had a sweet week filled with baking, construction paper heart crafts, toddler playdates, school classmate’s Valentines creations, and topped with a date night for each babe. Aaron took each of the girls out for a one-on-one date, complete with a front door pick-up. When they knew it was their turn, they were SO giddy the morning of, even before I sent them off to school. We’re all pretty excited about this precious tradition, since they’ll never be too old to be cherished by their sweet daddy and treated to these special daddy-daughter dates. And, of course, my little man Ethan treated me to a Valentine’s Date. He picked me up (I mean, he likes a gal that can drive) and we whisked off to dinner. He suckered me into buying him a toy, and out of all the toys on the Walmart aisles he picked a $3.98 light saber (glows up). He’s my favorite cheap date. Scroll down to see our selfie pics from these date nights at the end of this post!
Cinnamon caramel corn with pecans and white chocolate. Quite literally, our favorite popcorn! We’ve been making this for the last 11 years and I caught a few videos of the kiddos helping with it on my Instagram stories yesterday. SO many of y’all requested I share the recipe! I had blogged it about 10 years ago and will share it here. I snapped a few iphone pics.
Fun Story: I used to sell this popcorn at a local pharmacy! We lived with Aaron’s parents for 1 year before Aaron started dental school. I found a job working in a dental office and he was teaching high school chemistry. Our goal was to save as much money as we could for a nice down-payment on our 1st house. We worked our little booties off and I made this popcorn and signed the tag as Lil’ Baking Blonde.
Blog post I had written 10+ years ago..
I adore cinnamon caramel popcorn. Not popcorn, but the combination of warm cinnamon-butter glazed over semi-crunchy-gooey popped popcorn is pure bliss. It takes me back to my childhood love for Crunch ‘n Munch popcorn. Besides being easy to whip up, this popcorn compliments the divided parties among dessert-lovers. Some like it gooey and sticky. Some like it crunchy and dry. I learned this the hard way when I sold this deliciousness at a local pharmacy. I mean really? Who complains about objective preferences? After tweaking this a bit, I think this has the best of both worlds. I love to make this for the teachers that spoil Aaron daily with delicious Kolaches and croissants. He’s sort of the young and determined celebrity teacher that reminds them of their own children. Cute, huh? I think it’s darling and it makes me happy. So here’s payback, grab your popcorn popper and kernels and let’s get baking!
