Valentine’s Party!

Thank you Macy’s for partnering with me for this blog post! As always, all opinions are entirely my own. And thank you for supporting the sponsors that help Hello Ivory Rose!

Happy Valentine’s Day, lovelies! I hope you’re celebrating the fun of having people in your life to love and serve! And boy am I grateful to have these cuties by my side each and every day. For the last week, Savannah has been cutting hearts out of paper and coloring them for each of her 22 classmates. It wasn’t until I saw her coloring her 14th paper heart that I asked what she had planned for them when she told me her sweet idea. She’s my wild and free firstborn who truly has a heart of gold. It’s been adorable to see her treat this Valentine’s holiday as if it were Christmas! She brought those paper Valentine’s hearts to her class this morning. After she comes home today with a bunch of candy Valentines, she’ll probably start planning a yummy and sugary Valentine to attach to her hearts next year.

And since these kiddo’s have been begging to decorate a Valentine treat, we planned a fun family Valentine’s party! It’s our first year having our darling baby Avery join us. She was the sweetest addition! We found the cutest dinnerware for our party at Macy’s. For their cookie plates, I used the Laurie Gates Spoleto set to act as the backdrop for catching all the extra pink sprinkles and frosting smears. The hand painted details and dark dusted edges made them the perfect trendy dinnerware, but versatile to last through the year.

I was shooting a photo of their finished cookies when Savannah reached her hand in to add another sprinkled heart to her masterpiece. Seeing her tiny candid hand makes my mama heart melt. Oh my, will those hands grow.

And the trendy parquet wood isn’t only for floors any more! Check out how the parquet inlay warms the cool marble of this beautiful serving board. I adore this rich wood + cool marble combination. This will be my favorite combo in our kitchen renovation coming soon.

After the cookie decorating (and because every good party begins with dessert) we moved on to a few favorite appetizers and drinks. One of my favorite new pieces is this gorgeous wood cake stand. The rich blue print with a thick wood base is just to. die. for. We topped it off with each of our most yummiest snacks (some were admittedly more for mommy and daddy, so we didn’t have to share those 😉 ) . And every single piece was gobbled up, down to the last blueberry.

My FAVORITE appetizer/meal is a bright strawberry and baby spinach leaf salad. We tossed it with feta cheese, candied pecans. and a drizzle of raspberry vinaigrette. Absolutely delish! I make this alll the time for lunch, but use a low-fat feta, lean ground turkey, and almond slices to make it a little healthier for everyday eating. The brushed gold-finish bowls compliment this gorgeous salad so well! The raw edge wood on the salad bowl paired with the faux marble is so unique. It’s a beautiful set.

Tonight we’ll snag a sitter for the kids while we drive off to have a quiet dinner with just the two of us. Happy Valentines, lovelies!
