This was our first time to visit the Dominican Republic! When Nickelodeon reached out to us I was flooded with memories of all the 90’s nostalgia shows liked “All That” and “Hey Arnold” and “Rugrats” etc… And as a 90’s kid, it was a dream to get slimed! My siblings and I grew up watching our teen idols and other celebrities have that iconic lime green goop dumped on top of them! What did it feel like?! Was it gross? Was it fun?

We hopped on a flight before the crack of dawn. Since there weren’t any non-stop flights available we knew the journey might take a little longer and we wanted to get the party started early! Aaron could only take a few days off, so we packed as much fun as we could into the vacation. As soon as we arrived in the resort, we were greeted with green slime smoothies. The kids chugged them with the biggest gulps while the friendly staff member leaned over to whisper in my ear that they were simple banana smoothies.
Accommodations. We took a golf-cart ride to our room and unpacked in our 2 adjoining rooms. The 3 older kids stayed in one spacious room while we stayed in the room next door. This is our favorite way to vacation: the kids can go to sleep while we stay up and so the kids can wake up early while we sleep in. One of the suites is in the shape of a pineapple — Spongebob’s house!
The resort did a fantastic job at appealing to everyone! The Nickelodeon theme didn’t feel overly geared to kids unless you went looking for it. I was surprised by the adult OR kid-friendly vibes at the resort. A few characters came out to visit a couple times each day which made it feel exciting and magical to my believing kiddos. We could find a few yummy restaurants, a couple pools, and direct access to the beautiful beach with open cabanas and all the virgin margaritas we could’ve dreamed of on one side of the resort. If we hopped on a golf cart shuttle, we’d head to the opposite end to enjoy the lazy river, waterpark, and kids club.
Once a day, the large bucket at the top of the waterpark will fill up with “slime water” and dump over the entire splash area. It was wild and fun!
But getting “legit” slimed as a family was even more wild and fun. Tiny Avery had not idea what was coming for her. All she knew was her mama was living out her 90’s childhood dream and her entire posterity would feel it too. A giant wave of green slime slammed down on us. And each of us made the same shocked face that every slimed person makes. Y’all, now we understand. The slime is heavy, it’s slippery, it’s wet, it’s cold, it’s thick and goopy. And it still managed to slip down through my swimsuit as thin as water could. It is the craziest thing. And it was the most fun and grossest experience! Aaron and I felt like a kid again while our kids felt as alive as ever. Such a funky bucket list item that certainly lives up to the hype.

Unlimited Food. There was no shortage in food at this all-inclusive resort. They had lots of buffets, nice restaurants for dinner, coffee shop, and free 24-hr room service. The breakfast buffet was my favorite with dozens of choices including omelets, pastries, fruit, juices, pancakes, meats, and cheeses. I ate my weight in mangoes every breakfast. Basically, there were plenty of options for the pickiest kid or adult. The kids piled up french toast slathered with nutella and powdered sugar while guzzling orange juice. We especially love the soft serve ice cream and cookies at the Coffee Shop. The Burger Joint had the yummiest wings and a Machete Burger so big you needed a machete knife to slice it. If you followed along in my IG stories during the vacation, you saw what a crazy sight that was! For dinner, we also enjoyed the amazing Italian restaurant. The kids went wild over the astronaut-themed Spacewalker. So glad there were booster seats and highchairs in each restaurant for Avery. We scheduled reservations ahead of time for the sit-down restaurants and would definitely recommend this. They were also really good about getting the kids food out super fast.
The Character Breakfast. We had a reservation for breakfast and the kids were mesmerized by all the dancing characters and themed food!
Beach & Pools. This side of the world has the dreamiest sunsets. The kids ran straight out to the sandy beach to ride the ocean waves. Aaron and I had a great time watching them make up games to play in the crashing waves. They were perfectly in heaven and it was the sweetest thing to watch. Kids, you thirsty? Servers walked up and down the pools asking to bring free drinks and pina coladas. They loved it. I loved it. We lived in the water and had the wrinkliest fingers and toes to prove it.

So so SO fun! I grew up in a family with 4 kids, too, and this would’ve been the ultimate vacation when we were kids! It would still be fun to go with my siblings tbh but I’d definitely have to bring my 2-year-old and hubby and my parents too! Family trips are the best!

My family would be SO grateful for this trip! My husband is a farmer and he is in his busiest season of the year right now. He’s gone before the sun comes up and home after we’re all asleep. They miss him so much during harvest but they also realize if their Daddy didn’t do his job there wouldn’t be enough food in the world for people to eat 💗 Our girls NEED this time and vacation with their Dad and we’d LOVE to win this one!
What a blessing vacation, I will bring my husband who works for a chiropractic place and his boss doesnt pay well to bring us to a fun vacation, He works so hard and I feel like he deserves because he is a good son of God, we dont have to much but we have what’s Gods provided us and we are happy and grateful for that.

There’s no question – I would bring my hubby and kids. Three years ago (while I was pregnant with my 4th) I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The year was filled with chemo, surgeries, labor, and a whole lot of hospital time, all while trying to keep life “normal” for our kids. This vacation would be a blessing for the whole family. Oh my goodness! The water at the beach and that lazy river looks divine (insert ALLLL the heart eye emojis here). Almost all of my girlfriends grew up as Nickelodeon loving kids so it would be soo hard to pick but I would hopefully bring my friend Rachel or Callie along. Rachel is a preschool teacher who could use a relaxing getaway & Callie teaches kindergarten so I could only imagine how magical it would be to plop down on the beach and get a tan!

I love this! We actually went to the Dominican Republic before. We had a less than ideal experience with three flights being cancelled or delayed, which meant our trip was cut short by three days. It was supposed to be a trip to celebrate my mom’s retirement, but since we had flight issues, we missed out on fun with my sister and her family, and my mom. But I did love being there! Unfortunately, it wasn’t a family friendly hotel, so my two sons kinda just wanted to stay in the room all day. I would love the chance to “redeem” the Dominican Republic for my two guys. They are 17 & 20, but totally kids at heart. It’s my son’s senior year in highschool, and we have been wanting to do something special as a family before he graduates, and this place sounds perfect! I married a man in 2015. I thought he was the one. I was graduating vet school with loads of debt and he was only on an EMT income. We didn’t think it was wise to take a honeymoon. We had a child the next year and much to my dismay, during my pregnancy, I learned he was not who I thought he was – he was in trouble with the IRS and US treasury because he was dishonest at on multiple years of taxes and had been a closet alcoholic for 10 years. he did nothing to contribute to the family and I took care of everything, including him on many drunken nights, myself, our unborn baby, and all the finances. I was essentially abandoned and in charge of a grown child. I realized I couldn’t allow my choices and the deceit I experienced to affect my child every day. I filed for divorce. I felt so ashamed. I felt like my life would never be the same, much less normal, again. I met another man who said he was many great things and wanted a life with me – the difference was, he showed it. I pushed him away bc of my shame and my inability to fully trust a man. He stayed. He was consistent and unwavering in what he said he wanted to provide for me and my daughter. She is now almost three and he and I are engaged to be married in 6 more weeks. He broke down all my walls and taught me to love and receive love again. God is a restorer and he has made this new relationship and family all I thought I was originally supposed to have. I am full of trust again. We have planned a small, inexpensive wedding bc I still have student loan debt, have been a single mom making ends meet, and had to spend all my money on legal expenses for the divorce and to fight for custody of my daughter. We are planning a very inexpensive short honeymoon but I’d love to be able to give my soon to be husband one thing that my ex husband and I didn’t share, something that would be a first for both of us (and my daughter) – an amazing honeymoon/vacation as a new family!

Oh goodness I loved looking at the photos. Each one brought back memories of things I remembered over the years from shows. The nose shower reminded me of one of the ones where you had to do gross games through a nose. I have 18 yr old boy, a 16 yr old girl who graduates this year and 7 yr old boy. I would love to be able to take them and enjoy such an amazing trip. My kids still watch the old shows on Netflix and YouTube. To start out I love me some Nickelodeon!! That’s when the shows were so much fun to watch. I loved almost anything on. I love that each one of my children ages 18, 16, and 7 have also enjoyed it over the years. I would love to take them on this vacation to live out all of our favorite parts of each show we grew up too. I loved getting pics on Instagram of what your family was doing. I’m not gonna lie was jealous you got slimed. We love watching the awards to see the kids and celebrities get slimed. Just seems like an amazing vacation for my family before everyone leaves the nest. I have one who graduated last year. Our daughter graduates this year at 16 and then starts college. My brother whom I had to take legal guardianship of who lives with me and I take full responsibility for because my dad was put off of work due to medical issues and is dying and of course I’d take my father as well. We just got back from our first family tropical vacation. It was my 9 yr old and 2 yr olds first plane rides and travels out of the country. We realized we have some great little travelers and we NEED to make travel a priority for our family. It was so great for our family, with such amazing bonding time! I’m a single mama, I work hard to provide both my children with everything they need, which means I go without alot. I wish so badly that I could do something like this for my kids. My daughter is almost 6, and her brother who has alot of special needs is almost 2. All his needs have made most the attention be on him, and his big sister has done so well with it. She helps with him and is his biggest cheerleader. She has also been through alot the last few years…I’m not going to go into details, but if I could bring her here it would make all this hard work so worth it. It’s worth it anyways, but sometimes it’s easy to give up, and just feel like no matter how hard I work we cant seem to get ahead. Wow! Ok to think that I could treat my 4 boys and amazing husband to an all expense paid trip would be an absolute just…well it would mean everything.
Lately, whenever we get any little bit of extra cash we try to make memories with our boys. Even if it’s to the nearest KOA we make it fun and we make sure our boys know that life is about looking forward to family experiences together…not the next gadget. Although earning up for those can also be satisfying…they don’t last like memories together do.

I’d take my husband and my little man Rhett. We’ve been through the hardest year by far in our own life but also marriage. From my husband losing his job right after our baby was born, to watching his family lose everything. We’ve learned to cleave unto each other. We could sure use a vacation! 🖤
I would take my two daughters, Grace and June and husband! Honestly I am beyond blessed and my cup runs over but I am in a masters program for nursing! I love being registered nurse and take so much pride in health care and quality care. But working full time, multiple masters classes, crazy little human extracurricular schedules, and trying to make time for self care hasn’t been easy. I feel pride and guilt that my girls are seeing me advance my education to a higher degree but guilty that it may during ballet class that I get one more paragraph wrote for my thesis or read one more research article. I know those tiny eyes are watching their momma work hard but the cost has been late nights and less family fun than usual. This trip would be an amazing gift to us all- to unconnect and spend those valuable family moments together. I had the pleasure to meet Dr Crossley at the office I work at in Nacogdoches. He was our orthodontist for a short time. He started my invisalign case would of loved for him to see my results. Right now as I right this comment, I’m with my daughter here at the Texas Childrens Hospital in The Woodlands who had surgery yesterday to have her appendix removed. I reflect on how life is precious and you know me and my husband not really taking the kids out to have fun. This trip would mean everything to us.

You’re asking who I would take if we won this giveaway. Absolutely I would take my hubby and sweet kiddos. I always count down each Christmas how many left with my kiddos before they leave the nest. The years are in the single digits now and memories are my MAJOR priority. You will always have the memories! 💜💜💜💜

We haven’t been on a “vacation” as a family since our daughter was born. We have gone on trips to visit family but have never gone on an actual vacation…like a trip to a destination for the sole purpose of enjoying our time together there as a family! This would be AMAZING!!!

We have been married since 2012 and have never been on a “real” vacation as a family. By real, I mean get on a plane and leave all of our worries behind. I would absolutely love to win…but I never do…my life is not easy like that.. I’ve not had it very easy.. I’ve been sick for a while and I’m now feeling better then I’ve felt in years I’ve beat cancer, had two strokes , suffer from epilepsy, I’ve had so many surgeries I can’t even begin to count… I’ve stayed in the hospital more time than I want to remember…. staying once for 7 months…my point in telling you this I’d love to take my children…they really didn’t get to go on vacation because Mom was always sick ..I remember telling them I’d take them to Disney but I never got to…I was so sick …they all grew up fast to help me out with the house or the others kids….so to give them a vacation like this would be amazing and make chemo Worth it…I just had my most recent surgery in June on my intestines for the second time…but I finally feel like I’m better ..and seen how I have not been anywhere but bed, hospital bed, doctor’s office or grocery store in over 10 years I think I NEED a vacation…Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to try but I’m not getting my hopes up life just doesn’t work that way for me.. Hi JANENE! If I won this would be awesome for next year! It will be our 20 year anniversary, I will be 40! Ugh!, my oldest will graduate HS! Ugh again!, my middle daughter will have her Sweet 16! I would bring our 15month old and my husband, who lost his mom 2 months ago. It’s been a rough year and we’re saving to do a getaway next year. My MIL found out she had pancreatic cancer 2-3weeks before the birth of our baby (she started chemo the same exact date our son was born- who came 7 weeks early!) my hubby is very close to his mom ( Never a day without talking to each other), and he took a month off work so that he can personally take care of her himself (he’s a nurse) before she passed. Home hospice (he’s not a hospice nurse) was extremely really tough for him emotionally, so we can’t wait to plan a family trip and get some much needed getaway!
