Happy Saturday, my loves! How’s your weekend going?! I hope it’s a good one for you, with plenty of connections with all the good people in your life. Maybe a lil’ shopping (wink wink). It’s a strong drizzle here in Texas that should let up by the afternoon. I’m about to pop out for lunch with a dear friend of mine and then come home to swim with this cute family of mine. We try SO much to embrace relaxing weekends. It’s been such a joy to have spent the last 2 months traveling our hearts out and now it’s a season of slowing down to focus on what really matters in our home–Family.

WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO SNACK?? If you’re anything like me, your diet is full of quick snacks that don’t take much time to prepare. And my #1 is granola bars!!! EASY + FAST. It doesn’t get better than that when your time is in a pinch. I’m definitely in a season where my first inclination is to feed 4 tiny mouths before I get to my own. And that’s OK. So, I grab bars on the daily. Since we’re popping quick bar snacks like it’s candy, I want to go for ones that help make our bodies feel good. RX BARS make real food protein bars and nut butters with clean, simple ingredients. when I heard my husband’s FAVORITE bar snack launched a line specifically for kids I was like YAASSSS!!!!
The RX Kid bars have the ingredients listed on the FRONT of the bar in huge letters. Don’t you love it when you’ve found a brand that genuinely cares about the stuff they’re putting into our foods?! They’re gluten free, soy free, dairy free, and sugar free. Pretty bomb, right? And I love that the last “ingredient” listed is “NO BAD STUFF”!
My oldest is 6.5 years old and she’s my pickiest eater! And since there’s NO SUGAR in these bars because they’re sweetened with dates, I sat back to see how all of my kids (yes, Avery too!) would react to the bars their daddy and I love so much. Y’all, they inhaled them!!! They are 500% kid approved. I gave them each a 2nd bar of a different flavor and we called that dinner for the night. hahaha #winning. And now my oldest requests one every day in her lunch box.

- Protein Bars

- Baby Carrots and Humus
- Apple slices and nut-butter
- Baked chips
- Salted and sliced tomatos
- Sliced cucumbers with seasoned salt
- Popcorn (whole grain 😉 )
- Fruit Smoothies
- Greek yogurt, granola, and fruit
- Cottage Cheese with fruit and sugar-free jello powder
