Happy 9 months, baby girl! Time is flying and I’m trying my best to keep up! I’m late to this 9 month update and before I know it she’ll be 10 months and then like a week later she’ll turn 1 year! YOU GUYS.. I’m not ready for my baby to become any less of a baby <insert hysterical tears>. Seriously. One already?? I’m hoping that these next couple months go slowly, so I can call her my baby girl for a wee bit longer. Girlfrand has been through the ringer as far as her schedule goes. In between the moving and holiday vacations, her feed/sleep times have been all over the place. She nurse’s a bunch of times and naps 3x. We just started back to the gym after a long hiatus and she’s 2 for 3 in loving it! When it comes to stranger danger, babies go in waves with struggling with it. She’s been having a tough time with anyone except for me and so I’m hoping this will gently ease her into feeling comfortable around others. We miss having a great babysitter! I’d like to find a new sitter in our area to visit a couple times a week so that I can sneak off to get some work done instead of blogging at midnight <wink wink>. Which means I need to regularly add in bottles again! (See this blog post for tips with bottle feeding a breastfed baby). I’ve been far too lax about her feeding schedule and we’ve seen her slip into the dreaded “witching hour” fussiness from 5-9pm. There’s definitely perks to both a scheduled and unscheduled baby. With our crazy shift in life, we’ve been fortunate to have her so lax! But my sleep and daytime routine is taking a toll, I’m ready to have things more predictable. Hopefully, I’ll have her back on a solid schedule by her 10 month b-day. My babies are always happier on a consistent schedule!
My darling friend Emily from Olive Rae Handmade has the most gorgeous collection and we used preserved juniper & juniper berries, cedar, caspia, preserved garden and cabbage roses, and gardenia. I love a nice winter’s blue & white color scheme.
This sweet girl loves to sit up. She still won’t give tummy time a try which means there’s zero chance she’ll be crawling any time soon (hallelujah!). Her big sister was running by now and had 8 teeth. I shouldn’t be surprised by now, but I totally am, it’s CRAZY how different every baby is. She has 1.5 teeth. My favorite quirky thing that Avery does is her “happy/stress hands”. She’s always waving both her hands and feet when she’s super happy or super upset. I’ll be so sad when that dies down, it makes me laugh out loud each day! This baby girl is the quietest little opinionated one. She reminds me of her sister, Charlotte. I adore her joyful + wide, open-mouth smiles! Her tongue always pops out and that double chin makes a statement. It makes my mama heart sing. Stay tiny my tiniest!
